Timeless Beauty
The Europiccola black and chrome base models feature an eight cup (20 ounces) capacity. The almost entirely metal exterior is complemented by a durable ABS black plastic drip tray and grid. The power switch turns the unit's heating system on. Then, after reaching boiling temperature, the unit is always ready to steam. When you want to brew an espresso, simply raise the lever (pulling water into the brew chamber), and lower it (pushing water through the espresso). There is no electrical pump to rely on, just your own bicep strength (don't worry, it doesn't take much)! In addition, a side water level site means that you don't have to open the reservoir in order to see how much water is left.
Traditional Porta-Filter
Crema, the rich caramel-colored topping covering a shot of espresso, is ambrosia to an espresso lover. The La Pavoni Europiccola has a traditional style chromed brass porta-filter allowing for optimal heat retention. This robust 12 oz porta-filter, which relies on proper construction and metal mass, creates genuine crema-topped espresso with ease. The La Pavoni Europiccola's porta-filter comes equipped with both a single and double ground coffee porta-filter basket.
Heavy Duty Brewing Boiler
Some espresso boilers are made out of inferior metals, like aluminum, which can quickly corrode metal and add an unpleasant flavor to the espresso. The 20 oz reservoir of the La Pavoni Europiccola is made out of corrosion-resistant chromed brass, for optimal heat retention. The reservoir is the boiler. After five minutes, the entire reservoir is heated to boiling temperature and ready to brew and steam.
Easy Frothing System
Perhaps the most impressive feature of the La Pavoni Europiccola is its ability to steam immediately after brewing and brew immediately after steaming. Turn the Europiccola on, and after five minutes the boiler reservoir is heated so that an interior pressure of 0.7 to 0.8 bar is achieved. The all-metal steam wand allows you to foam milk the traditional way for cappuccinos and lattes with great ease.
