The Capresso EC100 is one of the few semi-automatic pump espresso machine with a stainless steel lined ThermoBlock boiler, and this model weighs in with a whopping 1350 Watts of power. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Capresso EC100, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the EC100's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time. The ThermoBlock boiler in the Capresso EC100 is a smaller version of the boilers found in the Jura-Capresso Automatic Coffee Centers.
Simple Espresso Brewing Controls
The new Capresso EC100 Espresso and Cappuccino Machine is designed to be more simple and enjoyable to use on every level. The Capresso EC100 is equipped with a fully versatile and locking portafilter (the handle into which you put coffee). The EC100 includes pressurized filter baskets for a double shot of espresso and also a single shot (1 ounce) basket. The single shot basket also works for E.S.E. (Easy Serving Espresso) pods. Not sure exactly how finely to grind your coffee? We recommend a grind in the fine range between automatic drip and espresso.
Easy Milk Frothing And Steaming
Making delicious cappuccinos and lattes is a snap with the Capresso EC100. Its new swivel steam wand features a removable tip for added versatility. Keep the tip on for easy frothing. Take it off to froth without assistance or to make standard steamed milk. Thanks to the thermoblock boiler system, steam is ready in about 15 seconds and will last as long as you need.
