Happy Independence Day! As you celebrate the holiday, add some patriotism to your food by making this delicious strawberry, blueberry crumble (powdered sugar on top goes great to complete the look)! It’s not a complex recipe, and takes only 45 minutes to make!Β This dessert will be the knock out of the cook out.

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz of strawberries
  • 5 oz of blueberriesΒ
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
prepped fruit in an icon griddle

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350Β°F
  • Hull Strawberries & quarter.
  • In a bowl toss strawberries, blueberries, 1/4 cup sugar & cornstarch together, and then spread berries in prepared pan.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, 1/3 cup sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.Β Add melted butter and mix.
  • Pour oatmeal mixture on top of berries.
  • Bake for 35 minutes.
We recommend using the ICON 12" Griddle Pan for this delicious dessert.Β Versatility was in mind when ICON crafted this fantastic piece. The pan's durable design allows chefs to sear, fry, saute and bake food in sweltering temperatures up to 800 degrees F. The pan's iron core allows for even heat distribution to prevent hot spots from forming as you cook. ICON Cookware also prevents unwanted chemicals from leaching into your food to help produce meals with a clean taste. The griddle's twin handles provides chefs with a sturdy grip for safe maneuvering as they cook and serve. Crafted in Indiana, ICON features a fantastic line of cookware that's designed to cook like traditional cast iron, but these pans are 30% lighter in weight, have stay-cool handles, and they will not scratch delicate cooktops and countertops.
